PROCESS

1. Inform prospective interns as incoming freshman

2. Department evaluates and recommends students
 
3. FLIT Language Advisors evaluate foreign language proficiency and recommend appropriate courses, if necessary. (If internship requires English and prospective student is not a native English speaker, CESL will evaluate proficiency and recommend courses.)

4. Student Contract prepared and signed by international internship sponsor (if possible), student, Departmental Coordinator, appropriate FLIT Language Advisor (if any), International Programs and Services administrator, and International Internship Program Director

 

5. Cross-Cultural Orientation Course [orient.doc] taken in fall preceding the summer internship

6. Internship final arrangements (sponsor verification)
7. International Internship (summer after sophomore or junior year)
8. Post-Internship Course [PostInt.doc] (fall semester after internship)
